CDD brings actors from different disciplines together with organisations from the wider world to zoom in and find together synergies to accelerate action towards Just Energy Transition.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE
This event will bring together national and international actors to discuss the challenges and solutions for building a Just Energy Transition in Mozambique.
The conference will address two main questions:
1. How to promote equal opportunities and social inclusion on investment in decentralised and affordable mixed energy systems – Defining the justice dimensions of Energy Transition.
• The event will try to identify different approaches to define the inclusivity dimension;
• Youth/gender perspectives;
• The role of Civil society on the ground.
2. How to Accelerate Mozambique’s energy access, scaling up renewable energy deployment and achieve economic growth – advising to designing a transformational policy.
• Possible synergies to combine public and private investments for funding energy access for the most vulnerable;
• Implications of international measures on the domestic economy (CBAM);
• The opportunity to diversify the economy.
