Dra. Fátima Arthur is PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, United States. She joined Electricity of Mozambique (EDM) in 1985 as senior engineer. Until 2020 she was Executive Director for Personnel and Corporate Services, at EDM, with responsibility for Human Resources, training, safety, health, IT, telecommunications, procurement systems and warehouses, logistics and general services. The department is leading the organisational reform, the digital transformation, the establishment of the Academy and the professionalisation of the company. The department is also in charge of publishing and replicating technical-scientific knowledge, research and innovation. She was also Director of Corporate Planning and Business Performance Management, with responsibility for processing and publishing corporate information, statistical reports, annual and strategic corporate planning, and various studies, research and innovation. From 2010 -2015, Dra. Arthur was President of the College of Mechanics - the Order of Engineers of Mozambique. Now she works as Policy and Research Advisor for BRILHO Programme.
