Veronica Zano is the Regional Advisor on Extractive Industries for Oxfam in Southern Africa (SAF). Previously she worked as a Legal and Policy Specialist for organisations which include Southern Africa Resource Watch (SARW), Pact and the Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA She is an Extractive Industries Governance Practitioner with over ten years of wide experience working covering Southern Africa particularly Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi and Democratic Republic of Congo. Her experience includes developing and managing successful legal reform and institutional strengthening programmes with a broad range of actors which include government institutions, parliament, regional bodies, civil society, private sector and local communities. She has also produced several research publications on the governance of extractive industries and energy transition.
